BUSINESS TERMS & CONDITIONS
By booking an appointment with “Fran the ChiroVet Ltd” you accept and agree to
be bound by the terms and conditions of this agreement. In addition, when using
our services you shall be subject to any guidelines or rules that may be
applicable. Any participation in the services offered constitute acceptance of
this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the terms and conditions of
“Fran the ChiroVet Ltd” then please do not use this service.
Treatment Fees
Payment can be made by BACS prior to the appointment. Alternatively, by
card (preferably) or cash on the day. Our Flexi Back Plans will be paid monthly
by direct debit. Payment should be made in full as we do not offer credit or
finance agreements. Unfortunately we are not able to accept cheques as a
method of payment. If you are wishing to claim your treatment back through your
insurance you must pay us in full and we will issue you an invoice for you to
submit to your insurance company.
Insurance Claims
If you are wishing to claim for your horse's treatment under its
insurance policy then you MUST have a referral for the treatment from your
veterinary surgeon. This will require your vet to send us an email with your
horse clinical history and information about the current claim.
Whilst chiropractic and acupuncture are covered by most insurance
companies as alterantive/complementary therapies, it is the owners
responsibility to check that their insurance company will cover the cost of
their animals treatment. Your primary vet is responsible for filling and
signing your insurance claim form advising complementary therapy. All you are
required to do is to submit any treatment receipts to the insurance claim
handler at your vet practice.
Missed Appointments/Cancellations
If you wish to cancel an appointment you MUST notify “Fran the
ChiroVet”at least 48 hours prior to your originally scheduled treatment date.
Failure to do so will incur a £30.00 fee. This payment should be made in full
on the day of the scheduled appointment. If you miss your scheduled appointment you will also be charged
as outlined above.
“Fran the ChiroVet Ltd” reserves the right to cancel any appointments at any
time due to extenuating circumstances. For this reason please make sure we have
a valid mobile phone number so we can contact you as soon as possible. We will
endeavour to notify you of any appointment cancellations as far in advance as
we are able to in order to minimise any inconvenience to you.
Health Concerns & Infectious diseases
Patients with infectious or contagious conditions such as strangles,
ringworm, herpes or influenza virus, etc. will NOT be treated. Owners are
advised to cancel all appointments until their primary veterinary surgeon
consider they are out of risk. Owners should notify “Fran the ChiroVet Ltd”any appointment
cancellation as soon as they are able to.
Veterinary consent to treat the horse may be required to ensure the
patient is not contagious anymore before rebooking the appointment.
Refusal of Treatment
“Fran the ChiroVet Ltd”reserves the right to refuse to treat any horse at
any time. This is usually only the case where there is a health concern and we
feel that further veterinary investigation may be required.
Should we be unable to treat your horse, an examination plus any visit
fees will still be charged.
“Fran the ChiroVet Ltd”also reserves the right to refuse treatment to any
animal which is deemed unsafe/unsuitable for chiropractic/acupuncture.
Additional Information
Horse owners are required to contact their primary veterinary surgeon prior to the chiropractic & acupuncture treatment.
Horse owners are required to notify “Fran the ChiroVet Ltd” if during the course
of treatment the patient's condition worsens or if the primary veterinary
surgeon advises that the treatment is stopped or suspended.
Flexi Back Plans Terms & Conditions
The treatments within each plan apply to each individual horse. When subscribing to one of our Flexi Back plans you agree to have the
regular appointments booked in a flexible manner. We will endeavour to book the
visits at the closest date due according to the interval between treatments,
every 3 months (Silver Plan) and every 2 months (Gold plan) whenever possible.
Both plans discounts are based on an annual subscription. If you wish to stop
the subscription, you will need to communicate it by email as soon as possible
in order to stop the automatic yearly renewal.
Disclaimer
Chiropractic and acupuncture care is not intended to replace traditional veterinary
care. Owners with horses experiencing acute, significant lameness or injuries,
acute neurologic conditions, fever, colic or other medical disorders should
seek care from their primary veterinary surgeon first.
